Questions, Answered.

Everything you need to know about membership, care, and how it works at TideShift Health.

  • Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based model that allows patients and their provider to work directly together — without billing insurance for visits.

Instead of navigating insurance restrictions, visit limits, and productivity pressures, care is centered on time, relationship, and transparency.

Your monthly membership covers your primary care visits and direct access to your provider, allowing us to focus on your health needs — not insurance priorities.

  • In traditional settings, providers often manage panels of 1,500–2,000 or more patients. Appointments are shorter, concerns may be limited to one issue at a time, and access can be delayed.

Direct Primary Care practices are intentionally smaller, often caring for 500 patients or fewer. This allows for longer visits, improved access, and true continuity of care.

TideShift Health was created to make space for whole-person care. We have time to ask deeper questions, address multiple concerns, and focus on prevention and long-term health — not just quick fixes.

  • Many members join because they want to stay that way.

When access is easier and visits aren’t rushed, it’s simpler to address concerns early and focus on prevention and health optimization. You don’t have to wait until things escalate to reach out.

It’s about having a trusted place to turn - before the wheels are falling off.

  • Yes. I strongly recommend maintaining health insurance to cover major medical events such as hospitalization, surgery, or specialist care.

Direct Primary Care supports your primary care relationship, but it does not replace insurance for large or unexpected expenses. Many members carry high-deductible or catastrophic plans alongside their membership.

  • There is no enrollment fee.

Your membership covers primary care visits and ongoing access. If labs or imaging are needed, you may use your insurance at outside facilities. I also offer deeply negotiated cash-pay lab rates through Labcorp and pass those savings directly to members.

If something falls outside the membership, we discuss it clearly ahead of time — no surprises.

  • Membership is month-to-month with no long-term contract.

You may cancel at any time with written notice. The goal is a supportive relationship — not a restrictive one.

  • At this time, TideShift Health is not able to enroll patients who are currently covered under Medicare or Medicaid, including Medicare Advantage plans.

No claims are submitted to Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance for services provided through membership.

If our status changes in the future, updates will be shared on the website. You’re welcome to join the waitlist if you’d like to be notified.

  • TideShift Health serves adults 18 and older throughout the Kitsap Peninsula, offering in-person care in Bremerton and telehealth options across Washington State when appropriate.

It’s a strong fit for individuals who value relationship-based care and a proactive approach to health — especially in areas like metabolic health, weight management, menopause/perimenopause support, and mental wellbeing.

At this time, the practice is not set up to care for pediatric patients, and patients currently enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid are not eligible for membership.

  • Members are often seen within the same week.

Because the practice is intentionally smaller, wait times are minimal compared to traditional settings. If something urgent arises, members can reach out directly and receive guidance on next steps.

  • Yes.

Continuity is central to this model. You will see me — not a rotating provider. Over time, that consistency allows me to understand the nuances of your health history and personal goals without you having to start over at each visit.

  • Yes.

Some members choose comprehensive primary care, while others work with me in a consultative role for focused areas such as metabolic health, weight management, or menopause and hormone support — even if they maintain a separate primary care provider.

You’re welcome to use the membership in the way that best supports your needs.

  • Yes. When appropriate, TideShift Health offers GLP-1 medications (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide) as part of a personalized metabolic health plan. These are just one of several treatment options — care may also include other evidence-based medications, nutrition, and lifestyle support. Each plan is individualized after a full review of your health history and goals, with ongoing follow-up to ensure safety and effectiveness.

  • Yes! Hormone therapy is one of the main focuses of our practice. We prescribe a range of FDA-approved hormone medications — including estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and thyroid — when clinically indicated and tailored to your individual needs.

We do not offer estrogen or testosterone pellet therapy. Treatment options may include creams, patches, oral formulations, or injections, depending on your goals and medical history.

  • If you decide to enroll, simply let me know. I’ll send a welcome email with instructions to schedule your first visit, review the membership agreement, and complete your intake forms.

Your initial visit is typically 90 minutes, allowing time to thoroughly review your history, goals, and priorities. We’ll also set up secure messaging and discuss a follow-up plan tailored to you.

From there, care is personalized — whether through scheduled visits, message check-ins, or a combination of both.
