Questions, Answered.

Everything you need to know about membership, care, and how it works at TideShift Health.

  • TideShift Health is currently an out-of-network, self-pay practice. This allows us to spend more time with each patient and offer flexible, individualized care.

You may request a detailed receipt (“superbill”) after each visit to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan

  • Yes. You’ll receive secure electronic questionnaires to complete before your appointment. These forms help me understand your health history, goals, and concerns so we can make the best use of our time together.

The initial intake paperwork may be more detailed than what you’ve experienced at other clinics — but those details matter. They allow me to provide more thoughtful, individualized care right from the start.

  • Yes. Lab services are not included as part of the visit or membership. I can order and review labs through Labcorp or your preferred laboratory.

In many cases, insurance will cover the cost of most labs. If you are paying out of pocket, we can work together to find the most cost-effective option and help avoid any unexpected expenses.

  • Medication costs are not included as part of the membership. Prescriptions can be sent to your preferred local or mail-order pharmacy, and insurance often covers most standard medications.

If you are paying out of pocket, we’ll work together to find the route that best fits your individual needs and budget.

  • Yes. When appropriate, TideShift Health offers GLP-1 medications (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide) as part of a personalized metabolic health plan. These are just one of several treatment options — care may also include other evidence-based medications, nutrition, and lifestyle support. Each plan is individualized after a full review of your health history and goals, with ongoing follow-up to ensure safety and effectiveness.

  • Yes! Hormone therapy is one of the main focuses of our practice. We prescribe a range of FDA-approved hormone medications — including estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and thyroid — when clinically indicated and tailored to your individual needs.

We do not offer estrogen or testosterone pellet therapy. Treatment options may include creams, patches, oral formulations, or injections, depending on your goals and medical history.

  • Yes. We offer both in-person and telehealth appointments for patients located in Washington State. Telehealth visits are secure and convenient — ideal for follow-ups, medication adjustments, or ongoing care.

  • We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice — or missed appointments — may be subject to a fee.

  • TideShift was designed to offer specialized support for women’s health but we’re happy to care for people of all genders. Everyone is welcome here, and we’re glad to support your health needs.

  • Yes. Membership supports both focused care for specific issues—such as weight, hormones, or sleep—and comprehensive primary care. Your care is personalized based on your needs and goals.

  • Membership begins with a 3‑month minimum commitment. After that, membership continues month‑to‑month and can be canceled at any time with 30 days’ notice. We believe people stay because the care works—not because they’re locked into a long contract.

  • Yes. One of the reasons I created TideShift Health was to intentionally care for a smaller number of patients. This allows me to provide the thoughtful, timely, and high‑quality care my patients deserve.
